Sighting-in a new firearm, scope, or sight, can be a titillating and exhilarating experience. However, it can also be time consuming, and extremely frustrating. Furthermore, let's not forget that the cost of ammo can add up quickly. If you're thinking that there must be a better way to sight in your firearm, you are correct. Yukon offers the Sightmark Laser Bore Sight System as a solution that can be used by nearly everyone to get on-paper and into-the-black quickly, and efficiently. This system is a laser pointer that is mounted into a housing that is machined to fit the chamber for your firearm. This bore sight is dedicated to a particular series of calibers, and it must ONLY be used in firearms chambered for those calibers.
The projected laser beam from the bore sight indicates (approximately) where your point of impact will be. Adjusting your sights or scope to coincide with that point effectively zeros your firearm for that particular distance. At this point, you can fine-tune your system by firing a few rounds, and adjusting your sights or scope to compensate for windage, and trajectory.
The Sightmark Laser Bore sight saves you time, money, and aggravation every time you use it. This is a handy, compact, and precise tool that every shooter should keep in their range case or go-kit.

I do a lot of target shooting in a field by my house. I thought my rifle was sighted in pretty good, when I used the Sightmark boresight it showed me exactly how far off my scope sights were. within a second of installing this in my barrel I saw just how much I had to adjust my scope. its that easy. just slide it in your barrel and you are good to go. powerful red dot down range.

A bit confusing about the two choices of battery sizes ( 2 of 1 size provided, versus 3 of the 2nd), and instructions weren't particularly clear about polar orientation of batteries for insertion. For the first 5 attempts, no joy on getting the BoreSight to function, regardless of battery orientation. An hour later, reshuffled the batteries in their flimsy plastic casing (which should not have had any impact and probably didn't) and the darned thing lit off. Will report back when I get this on the range and can determine a) that it still works and b) that its range is worthwhile.
