happy that i finally pulled the trigger on it. i've been looking at this thing for a while BUT, after having bad experiences with inexpensive stuff and having had two sell drum kits in the past due to funding problems; i was skeptical.
it's very decent at price point. i have never owned an electronic set before but, i have played many at the music store while wishing that i owned it. this is a real set, it's not a toy. it's pretty solid and has many great features for the price. to get these features and pieces on an electronic kit from a big brand, it would cost about 3 times as much -at minimum. i havent' tried the recording and amplifier output but, it sounds pretty good. response is not bad and pedals have a bit to be desired but, i don't have problems with false hits with them. overall, a good buy. i took a chance with it and got very surprised.

Setup - pretty easy to set this up. The only problem is when you want to make adjustments. The whole thing is held together with hex screws, so it's not something that you can simply undo with your hands.

Sound - sound is decent. The signal to noise ratio coming out of the synthesizer module isn't too high. There's a noticeable hissing when turning up the volume. I'm still playing around with it to see if I can get the hissing to go away. It would have been nice to have the bass foot pedal also velocity sensitive like the rest of the sounds. This means the sound is the same regardless of how quickly or hard you step on the pedal.

Equipment quality - Seems to be fairly well built, but since the clamps are plastic, I'm fairly certain over time they'll need to be replaced with something stronger.

A poster mentioned sweet spot with one of the pads. I think happens with the snare. I switched pads, but the sweet spot was the same, whereas the other sounds didn't have such a concentrated sweet spot.

For the price, I can't complain. It's a good way for people to get into drums. I plan on moving up once I get better.

My experience on drums - total beginner
My musical experience - took a class on keyboard for a quarter, that's it; can't play anything; pretty much beginner

Worth the money? Yeah, I think so.

One of the drum pads has a very small "sweet spot" but other than that it works real well. I wish that the computer head had greater flexibility in assigning the sounds to the pads. I particularly like the Jazz selection but I wish I could assign one of the symbols to be a "Ride". I also like the 'Techno' selection but some of the sounds are just plain "goofy" and you can't change any of the settings for Techo.
The pedals are a bit soft.

But does it rock? Oh yeah!

There is a metronome function on the computer head called "Tick". When you record your play, it would be nice if you weren't recording the Tick as well.

But does it sound good? Yeah, it does.

It was quite easy to set up but it did take a while.

You need to provide an SD Memory Card in able to record what you play. Unfortunately it doesn't come with one. You can also load MP3's onto the SD from your PC and play them back through the drum kit. This allows you to play along with your favorite songs if you do not have an MP3 player to connect to it. You will still need an MP3 player if you want to record yourself playing with your favorite songs.

Anyhow... LATERZ!!!!!!!
