I tried this car audio adapter in both my autos and in my home entertainment unit. I could not get it to send to both speakers. It wasn't any better even when I cleaned the read heads on all the units and on the adapter. Maybe I got a bad one...

An average product, but so inexpensive who cares! The mechanism is not perfect, functioning 95% of the time. The real key is to adjust the volume of the iphone DOWN to 20 or 30% and THEN adjusting the volume on the car stereo. If the iphone is at full volume the sound is distorted. Don't know how long it will last but at this price is doesn't matter at all! Sounds just as good as a more expensive one once the volumes are adjusted properly.

I first bought an MP3 car Audio cassette adapter from Target made by Belkin. It worked perfectly but cost about $18. I returned it because I could find one for less than half that price on Hand Held Items. HOWEVER, this is not only very cheap in price but quality too. It barely plays in one channel. My advice is spend a few bucks more here or at you local Target and get a better quality adapter that works.

This unit does not line up well with the tape deck head. Therefore it does not always give out very good sound. A person should not have to push around this item in a deck to get it to mate up correctly. I'm glad I only wasted $6 on it.

The first time I used adapter it worked great. The second time not so good and so forth.
I have a 2003 chevy silverado LT. Now my zune won't play because the tape player keeps tring to change tape to other side.
Don't wast your money!!!

My car is a 1994 Suki and I have not been able to get FM converters to work with my Ipod. This audio adapter works great. Now I can listen to my Ipod in the car and it was a very inexpensive option.

It sounded pretty good for a while - seems to work best when the iPod is at a lower volume level, if the iPod is turned up too high it causes distortion. Lately it only puts sound throught the right channel, possibly the pickup in the tape became misaligned? I would like to get a few of these when they are on sale again (but it seems like the limit is one), they work good but seem fairly disposable.
