This is a usefull piece with my constantly overheating laptop, I love the USB 2.0 ports, and the card reader. It does a good job cooling with its dual fans and even has its own power cord to reduce wear on your laptop. I did have to put several non slip pads on the surface to keep the laptop from sliding around but they were inexpensive and easy to find. Im happy with it
