I searched for a long time to find a combination hip-holster and iPhone 3G case combination that worked for me. I bought several holsters/clips from this site that didn't fit before I found this one. I couldn't be happier with this holster, it fits the phone perfectly with its case on (Seidio Innocase II)

Features I wanted in the case (Seidio Innocase II):
- low bulk (the 3G with this case on it probably feels like a 1G. only Incipio Feather is less bulky, and it's almost like a skin)
- slides in/out of pocket easily
- doesn't collect lint
- easy access to buttons, ports
- bottom portion removable for non-universal docks

Features I wanted in the hip holster (Kroo Ego Universal Case):
- holds phone with case on securely but can still be easily removed. (the sides of this holster stretch so you can easily pry it open to remove a tight fitting phone.)
- horizontal orientation
- allow phone removal without having to unplug headphones (the side material doesn't cover the entire side leaving enough room for the headphone plug to be unobstructed with the iPhone 3G inserted)
- swivel clip

The holster would probably hold an iPhone 1G without a case, but not likely one with a case on it. At the same time, the 1G is more durable than the 3G and doesn't really need a case as much.

Note: The case is paired with a Zagg InvisiShield for screen protection.

Fits my BlackBerry perfectly!. Love the skin of this. Definitely a bargain for the price.

Ooops:
- this case doesn't fit the iPhone if you have the Kroo skin
- the case is not useable in vertical position
Ooops...
The Kroo skin is really nice though !
