The cables may be delicate, but the quality easily rivals the $40 iPod dock. The dock may have a remote, but you need an S-video cable or S-video to RCA adapter, and a stereo audio to RCA cable or adapter. With this cable all you need is the tiny little device that easily fits in your pocket.
It is not meant to be sturdy, it's meant to be tiny, and you have to accept the tradeoff.

I wish I could delete my first review. After checking the iPod settings this cable works fine.

Extremely delicate cables; very thin. If you\'re not careful, it would be easy to pull the phono jacks off the ends of the individual cables. I use this as an extra cable on my \"secondary\" TV and leave it connected to the TV. If you intend to use this \"in the field\" for portable use, understand that you must be very careful not to put too much tension on the cable ends. Did I mention that they were delicate? :D
