This cradle does NOT provide video out for the iPhone and probably not the 2007 iPods. According to AppleInsider.com, the pin outputs have changed in newer iPods. Since there is no dock connector on the back, there is no way to get video from the iPhone. My guess is the iPod G5 (2006) is the only one capable of video out from this dock.

I think it just a convenient with this cradle. Now, i connect it to my headphones or AV it out to my TV. Also, its my charging station as well. Easy to use and I like it.
