Don't waste your money. Although it looks in the image like the Apple version, it most definitely is not. The photo this site uses is very misleading, the remote I received does not even have the locking side button that prevents you from pressing the controls accidentally.

The original (Apple version with apple logo) connected at the top of your iPod which connected directly to the headphone input. This one connects at the bottom and sound quality is terrible if you connect your headphone directly to the remote (as it is designed) - but sound has hardly any bass and sounds very synthetic. I use it only as a remote.

This device is also very cheaply made and in the couple of weeks I have been using it - it looks and feels like it's about to conk out. Ever since I took it out of the packaging it falls apart when you try to clip it on your bag or lapel. It falls apart the moment you try to use it... VERY CHEAPLY MADE - total waste of 15 Bucks + shipping!

DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF CR_P - SENDING IT BACK WILL HAVE COST YOU AS MUCH AS THE UNIT IN POSTAGE (receiving and sending back).

P.S. Apple no longer makes the original remote - so if you have a photo iPod and could not live without the original remote (which sounded great - until the wires got screwed up over time) - you are out of luck. Apple just wants you to buy the newer iPod models so you can buy their remote that is also an FM tuner. After purchasing this cheap substitute I feel I have no choice but to upgrade my iPod.
