Great product for the price. Case is as described a silicone casecover. Nothing to prevent damage on dropping it. Being one of the first covers available it needs a modification on the top that cover a sensor that allows your face to hit the screen. Trim the top back and it's a great cover.

This product looks great, and performs the basic function of protecting the phone. However, there is one major draw-back with this product when used with the iPhone 4..... The case does not have an opening for the proximity sensor; yes the one that allows the phone to sense when it is close to your head during a phone call. Consequently, I have had to take a razor blade to the case and cut my own opening, where it should have been. This is not what i was expecting from a seven dollar case. Fail handhelditems, fail.

The Tire Tread Silicone Skin is an excellent value. However, it would provide better protection for the iPhone if the sides were stronger. They can be easily pulled away from the sides which poses a potential hazard in a fall. Since I carry it in a leather holster, I have not experienced a lint problem.
An optimum design would be a hybrid case composed of a soft silicon inner case covered with a hard shell on the back, sides and both ends. The shell portion should be textured to prevent dropping. The sides should overlap the front slightly to protect the face in a fall.

as the other review is accurate, but also the 'anti-dirtdust' coating doesn't work too well, dirtdust still sticks but easier to wipe off than most.
it could be thicker, esp. at the corners and in the bottom, but overall ok.
but the review is on a friend's iPhone 4, since the applestore screwed up my so-called 'reservation' and sold my iPhone 4 to a walk-in instead, blah.

This case has one major flaw that you see on many iPhone 4 3rd party cases: the top area of the case that sits over the screen is too wide, covering the iPhone 4 sensor. When you pull the iPhone away from your face, the screen stays black because the iPhone still thinks it's against your head. The GOOD news is, it's easily fixable with a pair of scissors. Also, this case is a bit thinner than I had anticipated, not sure how protective it would be if the iPhone was dropped. The picture makes it look like a thick case. It'll work fine, just trim the top and don't drop the phone!
The Looper case on this website is cut correctly, it doesn't cover the sensor. It's also thinner than I had hoped for, but for the price, these cases are worth what you pay.
