To my 47 year old ears, the music sounds fine, as do podcasts and phone calls. I like the way the mic is placed on the cable so it hangs near your mouth, not near the center of your chest like some other cheap headsets I've tried. I also like the war they fit in my ears. The apple "earbuds" are higher quality, but they seem to fall out every time I turn my head. These fit sung, but comfortable and come with 2 sizes of earpiece. The effectively block nearby ambient noise.
These do not have the quality of $50 headphones because they are not $50 headphones. But they are the best $8 headphones I've ever found for the iPhone.
HandHeldItems.com delivered them within a week using standard shipping.

I acquired this to test Skype calling from my 2Gen iPod touch. It's not really worth using for listening to music, since the range is so limited. Compared to even a consumer level of Bose earphones, you can tell the headset uses pretty cheap audio components.
That said, it DOES work for phone calls, Skype or otherwise. The mic's not wonderful, but it's placed pretty well for talking and the other side can hear me well enough. You should find a reasonably quiet area, since the audio pick up isn't too selective. Overall, it meets the expectations for an $8 headset.

I don't know about you guys, but whenever I'm texting I wished my thumbs could type fast enough to keep up with my thought process. This is a remarkably designed external battery for iPhone & iPods (Works with new models and most old models). If you're like me, always on the go, and always ending up with less than 20% of battery life left then this is something that will make your life easier. Instead of carrying bunched up messy cables everywhere you go, all you need to do is carry one of these 1900mAh backup batteries on you or in the car and you will never need to worry about your device's battery life. When you run out of the power, simply plug the back up battery to your iPhone and press the power button and it will start charging. more...
Watch this guy type on his iPhone! At first I watched this video without sound and I was thinking to myself "this HAS to be sped up." But I watched it again with sound and I was amazed. Supposedly this guy holds the crown for fastest typist on a mobile device (83 wpm), although he doesn't have a video of that one up yet. In this video he hits 81 wpm, and he's done this more than once and even has that last screen shot he took in his own video. He was typing on an iPhone app called iTextSpeed which measures the speed that the user types at. According to him, "...the main reason why you can type so fast is because the accuracy of the phone is amazing, it has a technology integrated called capacitive touch screen as opposed to resistive. Capacitive picks up electric signals feeding through your body; where as resistive it's pressure sensitive." Apparently, he even submitted his speed to Guinness Book of World Records to try make it official. Watch this video of him hitting 81wpm! more...
